So why get circumsised? What is the point? (no pun intended) unless it is medically appropriate it is against basic human rights, and should be outlawed!!!

I do however know people who advocate the beneficial procedure called circumcision on newborn babies.

But I can tell you one thing that's for sure, the Majority of doctors, nurses, men, women, boys, grils etc. on this planet in no way consider circumcision "mutilation" As a matter of fact it is considered the exact Opposite of mutilation which is commonly known as (beautification).

The Concise Oxford Dict. shows 'mutilation' as 'to deprive and remove' so, routine circumcision clearly IS a 'mutilation' by any civilised standard with over thwo thirds of the most sensitive part of the penis 'removed' and the owner 'deprived' of a large part of his voluptus.


I am well aware that many men here were mutilated against their basic will and human rights and it would be wonderful if this could now stop so that men can make up their won minds once they are ADULTS ....As I have now posted several times; I have no problem with any mans decision to do whatever he wants with his own body.....

It is not "way different" from female circumcision; there are unquestionable similarities. In both instances part of a person's sexual anatomy is removed without his or her consent. Many people consider such an act to be mutilation, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.


I personally don't see most circumcisions as an act of mutilation, but I try to respect where other people are coming from who passionately feel that it is. Plus I also acknowledge the medical benefits that can come from circumcision. Both sides have very valid points. But ultimately, I believe it should be an adult male's choice to have it done.

I find it difficult when somebody is so pro circumcision and then preaches his new found conversion in a way that every body should now do it and that anyone whom has opposing views is wrong.  As an adult you have the choice to do what you want with your body, you do not have the right to do this to a child.  I choose to pierce mine many times but just because my partner and I think its great I wouldn't do it to a child not tell adults they'll love it too.

There are some medical circumstances where circ. is deamed to necessary, but it is interesting that in the US where the medical industry is private that the pratice is prevalent.  another reason why the detal pratice of tooth whitening is now the accepted norm) Also a country where religion is still widely practiced thus a proportion of the population the Jewish community are routinely done. I also beleive religion should to be praticed until you are 18, tough but not brainwashed.

Circ. as mutilation I'm not sure, if done well it looks fine but there are many cases where the procedure goes wrong and the results can effect a man for life, apart from the pain to the child unless the op is done when a baby where crying babies don't seem to bother parents as they do that anyway?

If kept clean the uncut penis has little to worry most in the western world, in the third world it may and can be used stop the spread of some diseases (if some of the latest theories are correct) but in effect this is to combat a problem where better education over time will have the same effect; circ. at the moment seems to be a quicker option.

In the UK circ. is not common so a circ'd person is the odd one out.

Thats why I choose to start foreskin restoration with the support of my partner, she has no issues either way and I was the first guy she knew who was circ'd.

2.5 years in and I have more to play with and I like the look of the extra skin over my head.

The uncut penis it just the same with the skin retracted so I'm not sure lools are the issue.

Like I suspect the OP only wanted to start a debate on the topic.

There is nothing wrong with male circumcision, and there is nothing wrong with being circumcised, and there is nothing wrong with parents choosing to have there kids circumcised.

The anti side will always try to create reasons as to why being uncircumcised is better than being circumcised, when in reality there aren't any.

I myself was circumcised as an adult, so I personaly know that there is no negative aspect to being circumcised. I know what it is like to be uncircumcised, and I know what it is like to be circumcised. Because of this I have first hand knowledge that 99% of all the theories they develop about being circumcised and how horrible it must be are just that....nothing more than fantastical theories created in order to create a sense of self justification for remaining uncircumcised, when there true desire is to actually be circumcied.

When I got circumcised I did NOT loose anything useful or anything pleasurable. My penis works sexualy just as well after being circumcised as it did before I was circumcised.

Not one single negative theory that the anti-circ side has ever stated about being circumcised has EVER happened to me as a result of getting circumcised.NOT A SINGLE ONE.

It's all made up folks, and I actually know because I have been both ways.

I am uncircumcised and I don't feel the need to remove my foreskin. I think everyone should decide by themselves if they want to be circumcised or not. I am glad you also had that chance and that you are happy with the result. I wouldn't do it, I love my dick just the way it is and I am not the only one . I have nothing against people being circumcised but I would like for everyone to decide that by themselves as adults just like you.

I like how you are telling a man you have never met what his penis feels. Honestly, I've heard the same thing from numerous adult circumcision stories. There really is no difference. Being cut just means its a little cleaner, and it still does its job perfectly. Also, I think its better to do it as an infant so that the man doesn't have to go through unpleasant process of getting it done later.

It honestly doesn't matter. But medically a circumsized penis is on average cleaner than an uncircumsized one. It's really just for cleanliness. Not saying all uncut penises are unclean but bacteria grows a lot faster under tge foreskin since it's warm and moist. Nothing wrong with being uncut though, as long as u stay clean
