There were many ordinary German citizens who did not support the Nazi regime as well. It's usually a few fanatical people at the helm of such regimes.
That's not exactly unique in history.
BUT -- Let's not forget Stalin, who has the heavyweight title in genocide. And HE was USA's WWII pal!
And, speaking of genocide, the USA is no slouch, either. Ask an Indian -- if you can find one.
That's not to diminish the crimes of those nazi sob's. It's just for a little perspective. What the nazis did wasn't the first incidence of genocide and it wasn't the last, according to the late-breaking news.

I always remember the atrocities. A good movie, and I prefer the Italian version with subtitles, is "Life Is Beautiful". It's about how a man tries to protect his family and survive through humor while they're in the concentration camp. It's very poignant and heart-wrenching, but a very good movie.
It angers me, too.
There is a book titled "Our Hands are Stained with ****: The Tragic Story of the "Church" and the Jewish People" written by Michael L. Brown, Destiny Image Publishers.
Every Christian should be required to read this book.

i know what happened in WW2! my father lived the KZ-lager (concentrationcamp) Neuengamme...
all HELL of his memories broke loose when i was 9 years old! my fathers concentrationcamp syndrome became mine, because i had to take care of him and protect him! from 9 years old yes! i know VERY MUCH what happened!!
and now you post this, i am in tears! my father is gone, i have peace with my life, and you post this! yes! you get me off-balance!
