CAT-2 [Ignore] 15,Jul,23 09:06 Pageviews: 105 This is not a blog about who did what to whom. It's not about me exclusively either. I have been blocked and I've have blocked other members too.
I was reading blogs by the Doll Couple, or Bob_the_Builder, I’m past “confused “ and Bella!. Honestly, I can't make heads of tails out of it. One says that the other regurgitates brown crap. The other says they collect regurgitation. What ever makes them happy. I do know that there's an old saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." or "The friend of my enemy is my enemy." For me, I don't care who your friends are for the moment. The pro and con of a friendship is entirely up to the individual to bear. Having said that, I am starting to get very shaded with the constant dribble that comes from Bob_the_Builder and Bella! about who is friends with whom and who's to blame for the breakup of "bosom buddies". That brings me back to the original context of this blog. Admin, in what universe did you get the idea that blacklisting is good for the blacklister? The only thing good for the blacklister is that he's not aware of what the blacklisted member is doing. The blacklister goes along oblivious to the troll's actions, said troll trashes your reputation all over the site. He can make polls, blogs, threads, or comments about you anytime he wants to and, being a TROLL, he’s happy and the subject of his trolling is not. I think blacklisting is a good thing but it needs fixing. I think that whenever a member is blacklisted, he should not be able to mention the blacklister in any location except in private conversations. That would go both ways. If that’s not possible, then members should have editing functions available anywhere a member is mentioned even if blacklisted. |

I don’t think so. HE might not want to hear it, but that doesn’t mean that members feel uncomfortable having to deal with the crap. I’m not a big supporter of the site, but, I pay my dues every 90 days and WOODY58 does too. We also buy the occasional points. That gives us the ticket to, at least, suggest improvements to a great site.
If you don’t believe that, then, let me ask you, “Why did you close your old account? By your own words you said someone or something crawled up your butt and made you angry. You “could have blacklisted” or “ignored”, but, no. Why?
I’m not suggesting ignoring the trolls is a bad thing. What I’m saying is that it’s not good for the whole internet to THINK you are an asshole because a troll has written untold number of negative blogs about you, has mentioned you untold number of times in a derogatory way, or trashed your page repeatedly.
Why should you have to give up the pleasure of complementary views about you, from strangers, because you have to allow only those that are friends to post on your blogs, threads, or private conversations? Why not make it that no interaction OR mention be allowed by those that are blacklisted?
Am I right? I think so. 100%.
Also deletion of members should not be decided by lynch mob members, but once a member is put forward for deletion then Admin should decide if
a) a criminal action has taken place
b) site rules have been broken that warrant deletion, or
c) the reported member should receive a warning about behaviour, three such warnings may merit further action such as deletion.
It is just idleness on Admins part and a failure of care of duty to all members. His mentality needs to be questioned when he allows piles of shit to be sent as gifts. The site is one of the best and Admin could easily weed out the undesirables who cause the majority of trouble on here.
