There's a little stigma with underwear I think. Some people refer to them as panties, a woman's piece of clothing. There's a difference between panties and briefs/thongs etc and if there is some blurring between the lines between briefs and panties some men won't feel comfortable even buying them. Even shopping online theyre called panties sometimes.
