Today, 5th August 2022, is unbelievably the 60th anniversary of the death of one of the world's greatest ever film stars, Marilyn Monroe at aged only 36. The circumstances of her passing remain shrouded in mystery, the official verdict was "possible suicide", I don't believe that nor the conspiracy theory that she was murdered, I think it was an accidental overdose, she just took one or two too many on that fateful night. Whatever it was, she remains an icon to the present day and had far more talent than she was ever given credit for in her lifetime, a damn good dramatic actress as per her performance in "Bus Stop" (1956) and a splendid comedy actress and sultry singer. Who can forget her singing "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953) and "I Wanna Be Loved By You" in "Some Like It Hot" (1959)? R.I.P. Marilyn. :x :x :x
