Over the years I have noticed a number of members doing the same thing. I assume they think that a new account will get more interet without,as HotFuckerBoy suggests, needing to interact or do anything themselves.

I noticed that this particular person/member created a profile on 7/16 and now the profile reflects 7/17......

The crazy thing is, I tried to contact this member, however the member "closes chat completely", meaning he does not accept private messages at all, zero, zip, nada!

I have come across a very few people who won't accept any communication. They are entitled to do that but it does seem strange to me. Why join a 'community' then cut yourself off from it? It causes me to ponder on just how genuine the profile is.

Oh No, I really DO think that it is odd to behave in that way. It seems to me to be common courtesy to reply to any message received, if only to say 'Thank you, but I am not interested.'
In my own case any male who messages me will always get a reply. Some times this initial message leads to a longer correspondence, sometimes not.
My point was that while a member can chose just to ignore all messages I cannot understand why if they feel that way that they join SYD in the first place.

You were unsure about whether pictures of people under 18 years old were acceptable?

Every time any member uploads a picture, the first page they come to clearly states what is acceptable. Point 1. and 2. are written in red and the last part speaks directly about your concern; "all should be over 18 years old at the moment of shooting."

Here's a copy and paste of the rules.

1. Posting photos of nude people under 18 years old is a criminal offence in most of countries, even if those are photos of your own body.

2. Posting nude photos of other people without their consent is a criminal offence in many countries too. No joking, you can go to prison for that. "Revenge porn" laws, identity theft laws and copyright laws are applicable.

So post only your own photos or photos of people you have their explicit permition to post, all should be over 18 years old at the moment of shooting.

She's obviously much newer than me, but yeah, it was a bad idea asking me, clearly. I didn't realize such a big deal would be made out of it if I asked here rather than explaining to her how to post in the forum - yeah, she's clueless.

Nothing weird about the post. 2Kinky said "I would definitely check with admin first." I said "I'll send him a PM." It's well-established that admin is a guy. His response was that it's legal, but it could send the wrong message to others. He wouldn't ban her if she posted it, but he'd recommend she take it down.

I think it's mainly used to suspend the report for 24 hours so that reported member can be contacted and asked to remove the il-legal or internet pics from their page. In those 24 hours the member can't be deleted nor can you make a vote.

I love it when members contact us asking to verify them. We say "sure" and ask for a verification pic. Then we never hear from the member again. Really, you contacted us bitch. It has happened at least with 5 different female members in the last month. I just wonder how many of the female profiles are the husband, boyfriend, or ex posting the girls pics and she has no idea. If your asking for verification, I would think it would be a simple request to send us a pic if they were really who they say they are. Just saying.

I assume these people contact a large number of members hoping to get immediate uncomplicated verification. Do you ask for some form of proof of who these people claim to be? Because i do and often when I have suggested what they provide the proof I never hear from them again. Not even a message to say 'Thanks but I have now been verified.'

Yes we ask for a specific pic. Usually a pic of themselves with our name and the date. Either written on a piece of paper or written on their body. What ever they choose. But we always ask them to show our name not theirs.

It's right in the instructions of how to get verified. If they found you the list, then they were reading what to. I took this picture and then found a handful of people I am friends with and sent them a nice PM asking them to consider verifying me. All responded within a few hours and verified me. I found it really easy, but I read the directions first. I guess some people make it hard, or as was said, they are not who they are claiming to be.

I have to admit that having a minimum membership period before verification seems possible, but then length of membership offers proof of longevity not honesty.
However, in the end although it could be argued that verification offers few benefits if I verify someone I am saying that I believe that they are who they say they are. If I am not convinced of that, it is my obligation to decline to do so. The onus is on the member asking to be verified to offer proof.

They are trolling for verification. Probably men. They know that if they ask enough people some may verify them without verification pic. Or without giving it much though at all. Since they pose as females men often "turn off" their brains for them.

This site is very eye-opening about nature of people if you know where to look. Though I was aware of this technique before, it's typical method of "social hacking".

What one should learn from this is that people always find a way to cheat the system and some other people always fall for cheating. And that's why totalitarian governments "for the people" will never work the way socialists imagine.
