Someone in my community has posted that they are receiving a delivery of 5 cords of wood on the weekend. They post is specifically looking for hands to help in having the wood moved and stacked in their garage. My guess is that a "cord of wood" is a hella lot.
That is about 5 average long bed pickup truck loads.
Google says
A full cord is 128 cubic feet of firewood, which includes about 600 to 800 logs. Often, a firewood cord is three stacks of logs that occupy 4' x 4' x 8' feet.
They are about to spend some serious cash to, probably in your nick of the woods upwards of 1400 bucks
a friend sold short bed pickup loads of dry oak for around 250 a load and usually got tipped some to.
Google helped me a bit,The average price for a cord of wood is $300. Most people pay between $150 and $500, but prices could go as high as $700. Prices depend on location, type of wood, and the wood’s type of cut. Seasoned wood, or wood that’s dry, will also cost more. The price of wood can almost double in winter, so purchase in spring or summer. Delivery costs extra, or $25 to $75 per delivery. Stacking also costs extra, or $25 to $80 per load.
Your correct a cord of wood is wood tightly stacked 4ft high 4ft wide and 8ft long and the mouse 🐁 can run through it but the cat chasing it can’t
Around here it is plentiful and cost 150 dollars a cord
Dang, that's a lot of wood! Also, quite a big spread in cost, $150 to $500 per cord. Apparently, they're getting prepared to hunker down for a long and cold Michigan winter!
The talk at the "water cooler", er, should I say at the pool is that Michigan is going to have a "hard" winter. The Boy Scout/Girl Scout motto; "BE PREPARED".
Hecky, NO! Today I had my standing appointment for a manicure and pedicure. Moving and stacking firewood, me? NO WAY because I don't get want to break a fingernail!
What is it about PICKLEBALL that has everyone wanting to play? In my little town, the tennis and volleyball courts were removed and replaced with pickleball courts. I've been walking around our park every morning between 9am and 10am and again at approximately 7pm, weather permitting. In the morning, there's always a "lineup" of players/teams waiting for their turn and it's busy in the evening, too. Unbelievable!
To an untrained eye, mine of course, the court doesn't look any different than that of a tennis court. I can see that players are using a paddle, not a racquet and the ball is hard and much like a wiffle ball. I surely do not understand the scoring by numbers I've heard called out ie 4 -1 - 1 (always 3 numbers in succession) but it doesn't matter what I think, all the players seem to be having fun. Yep, players aged from early teens to upwards of 60 playing pickleball.
Is the scoring similar to corn hole?
I can't believe people called throwing a bag in a hole corn holing, that is another 1 of those words that the definition has been changed. Used to mean getting poked in the butt.
Some nut job was riding around on a golf cart in my neighborhood last night with a bull horn announcing that Biden blow’s vote TRUMP 2024

I bet he identifies as "black!" Some of that "transracial" stuff.
Micheal jackson was the first Transracial person ,he tried his dead level best to become white.
Hasbro wanted all their plastic back after he died!
Some beautiful country up there, and that huge radio telescope is a site to behold. A converted cargo trailer done right holds up to the abuse of the road and weather MUCH better than a factory built camper.
Charlie wants to build one to go glamping while boondocking. He's looking at a
7' W x 12'L x 7'H with barn doors. I told him, "No bathroom or AC, no go." 😈
Hint, the 7 high is fine, the 7 wide is fine, but get v nose and put the shower in the front with those acrylic shower wall panels .Ac is easy on the roof, just order the trailer with 2 roof vents, the roof air will fit fine in either 1. look to spend 1700 on a roof air unless you find used.
The in side control panel cost extra.
He wants the bedroom (two wide bunks) in front and the wet bath by the back door. The usual stuff, fridge, sink, little oven, coffee maker, one burner stove inside, portable two burner stove outside, add-a-room outside and roll-up shade, and 32" TV.
We have a 5K BTU BTU AC unit from our old travel trailer.
No. His plan is to build a wall inches from the cargo doors with a regular door and a tongue-and-grove look so when we open the cargo doors it looks like a cabin.
I feel/think the way you do, too. Apparently, some members crave attention so they toss out the "I'm going to leave, is anyone going to stop me?" posts OR the "Why me?" and the "I'm fat and don't get attention like the other girls!" posts. Example /blogs/55306.html I tend to agree, these types of posts are pandering for attention.

Maybe you’ve heard of it.

I wonder how they keep score
