I've been pretty lucky in life too. That 'socialist government' of mine provided a lot, but I still needed to make choices to what available future I committed.
I think I just chose well. But there were many alternatives that could have turned out just as well or better. I just learned from some mistakes and carried on.
I'm also happy together with my girlfriend for 24 years now. I didn't even look for her, she was simply introduced to me, by the ex of my brother. Does god like this socialist atheist so much, that he made his life as easy as eating pancakes?

'God works in mysterious ways', right? I don't by it. His ways appear incredibly random, like it's all just happening by chance and by our own choices. If there was any god controlling things, then I would expect to see some plan, at least sometimes. I don't, so I think a god not existing is the best explanation.
Or it's a god who only watches and never interferes. In that case, I don't know what that god wants of me, so I'll just ignore it and I'll just try to be good for the people around me and do my best to improve society, because society is the only influence on the happiness of me and the people I care about.

I do think that there are a significant proportion of voters in the U.S who do feel "We hate Trump and don't want him to be President again' but then we have the MAGA crowd who think "We hate BIDEN and we want to impeach him', but exactly what crimes he has allegedly committed is still unclear.

I have little faith in the U.S justice system to hold rich and powerful American's to account for their criminal behaviours, so I don't believe any of the indictments that he is facing will prevent Trump being the Republican nominee and from running in the 2024 election.

If, as is likely, he then loses will we face 4 more years of 'I was robbed' ?

Well At least here in my state we FINALLY got voter id in place.
We as citizens of the state can rest easy knowing if a vote was cast,the voter had to prove they were qualified.

I have no problem with voter ID. If fact at my last election earlier this year we had it for the first time. There was plenty of warning and various ways people could get a proof of ID if they did not have one.

I did offer a solution. Pay for the ID and allow for documentation, like birth certificates to be available, free of charge, on line or on phone. It's not the ID I'm against, nor it's the liberals that feel that way. It's the costs and the time frame to get it. Uploading a pic for the ID can be done in the most basic of cell phones.

I would support some spending to get that probably less than 2% of the voting age population a ID card that could be used for voting and such.
I can't figure out how these people become 18 without a social security card or ID of some sort. The school system helped us get our social security cards when i was in the 7th grade.
