Black national anthem? Since when do blacks get their own anthem? This is the UNITED states of America, not the divided by racism states of America.
So much for all this equality and shit they have been talking about. what a joke.
All any logical person can see is more division, and less trust between peoples. Nothing to reinforce the so claimed desires of equality or tolerance.
I won't buy those things, that those traitors endorse!!
Out of uniform and thus virtually out of the public eye, Colin Kaepernick took a seat during the national anthem before the San Francisco 49ers’ first preseason game in 2016. He did it again the next week, and again the moment passed with little notice.
On Aug. 26, 2016, after the 49ers’ third preseason game, Kaepernick was asked about his silent protest during the anthem. “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color,” he said. “To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way.”
The next week, after consulting with former NFL player and Green Beret Nate Boyer, Kaepernick decided instead to kneel. With that single action, Kaepernick set in motion waves that even now define sports in 21st-century America. It was the single most significant act of athlete protest since the 1968 Olympics, and Kaepernick himself forced difficult conversations in America like no one since Muhammad Ali. Admire him or loathe him — and there is seemingly no middle ground here — it’s clear that Colin Kaepernick is the most influential athlete of the 21st century.
That "guy" that started the whole mess said that he asked a vet his opinion and was given his blessing. I served 8.5 years and can tell you that the "guy" managed to find the opinion of a 1 in 2,000. They are odd balls, black sheep, and rarely fit in. Typically, they were lied to by their recruiters, and hate everything about the military.
You can wipe your butt with the flag, burn it, or even kneel before it. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. That's like blaming Australia for the actions of the Elks Lodge and The American Cancer Association. If you wish to protest you need prominent people, IE they usually have vast influence over politicians and are very wealthy. Good luck with that. Money gets their attention and if you cut it off jobs are lost. Besides the fact that the country is divided into trillions of facets and will never stand united. Too many people just want to stay in their little groups casting stones at their neighbors. Who wants progress when we can keep living like cavemen.
Two party system has this Country so divided and enslaved to a sensitive system it can't change without chaos.
There are so many underlying values to this comment.
You wouldn't say something like that, if the country was perfect.
Then why would people not be allowed to show the country has problems?
If you think chaos is needed, why are you even concerned about people kneeling?

I believe that laws deter the abiding and punishment deters the criminal. I would like to see prisons turned into actual prisons and sentences vastly increased. However, I feel that the entire Judicial System needs a vast overhaul first. Too many innocent people incarcerated because they were pressured into a plea deal.
Getting “Candy” is hardly on their mind.
They are getting exactly what they want. Destruction, hatred, separation ,etc.
What could a liberal bitch about if all the worlds problems were fixed? Liberals suicide rate would go thru the roof if all the worlds problems were fixed.

Hindrances to free and fair elections in authoritarian systems may include:[27]
Control of the media by the authoritarian incumbents.
Interference with opposition campaigning.
Electoral fraud.
Violence against opposition.
Large-scale spending by the state in favor of the incumbents.
Permitting of some parties, but not others.
Prohibitions on opposition parties, but not independent candidates.
Allowing competition between candidates within the incumbent party, but not those who are not in the incumbent party.
So, are you a liberal bitching about liberals?
I just don't understand what's wrong with liberals bitching?
There are other possibilities to manage society then a state government,
that is either hands-off (personal responsibility) or hands-on (nanny state).
That choice between libertarianism and authoritarianism is a 'false dichotomy'.
We don't need to oppress people to have more equality and freedom,
we need to reduce oppression to have more equality and freedom!
The imperfection of humans can only be overcome in the safety of organized society. Utopia is off course unattainable, but we surely can achieve a hell of
a lot better than the selfish shitshow most of humanity is suffering from now. There is one consolation; with the current rate of destruction, it will probably
all come to an end soon.
President Trump defended the white nationalists who protested in Charlottesville on Tuesday, saying they included “some very fine people,” while expressing sympathy for their demonstration against the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. It was a strikingly different message from the prepared statement he had delivered on Monday, and a reversion to his initial response over the weekend.
There already is destruction, hatred and separation. How about fixing some of it?
Do you think people just really like protesting? It's not like anything has been accomplished since they started protesting.
But this is the conservative way of thinking; let's not solve any problem ever, because at some point there won't be any problems left.
Conservatives are all about doing nothing, because everything is perfect.
How can they fix the problems they are protesting about, if guys like you say "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
I'm not Republican, I'm not a Democrat, I'm not conservative, I'm not liberal, I'm not authoritarian...Im an American. We the people, all men are created equal, the constitution...you know, American. You all love your teams.
Whomever thinks that the system is just fine is 100% steeple. Just remember that a wolf may take a sheep every once and a while. However, the Sheppard would cull the entire flock for a dollar.
So it depends what you think is the cause for the broken judicial system and government. Is it corrupt, under-represented, underfunded, overpriced, self-serving, moralistic, unethical, egocentric, elitist, favoritism, nepotism or anything else? Then vote for the politician(s) who mostly represents the opposite of what you see as the problem, independent of their political affiliation.
That person will probably not win, but it's the most you can do.
Ever heard George Carlin's take on not voting?

Democracy has it's problems, but I don't know of any better systems.
The problem is just that the people are divided so much, that the politicians can just fearmonger about the other side and never have to actually work for the people. That only benefits the people who don't want the government to do anything at all. It sounds like you're not one of them.
In general, citizens under a parliamentary system are more satisfied with their government, than citizens under a presidential system.
National Socialist Movement
The group is notable for its violent antisemitic rhetoric, its racist views and its policy allowing members of other racist groups to join NSM while remaining members of other groups. NSM became the largest membership-based neo-Nazi group in this country through the 2000s and into the following decade. The group’s brand and tactics of demonstrating in quasi-Nazi uniforms stalled, and its membership tally subsequently dipped. Since 2015, the group has sought to reinvigorate itself by forming coalitions with other white power groups. NSM arrived at the center of the deadly riot in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 via that strategy, which devastated the group. NSM’s membership continues to dwindle, and its former leader, Jeff Schoep, remains a defendant in the Sines v. Kessler civil trial, which targets those who planned and promoted the deadly 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville.
I just posted 3 articles addressed to Phart. They fit here too
White Lives Matter, a racist response to the civil rights movement Black Lives Matter, is a neo-Nazi group that is growing into a movement as more and more white supremacist groups take up its slogans and tactics.
BUt sometimes you have to either stand back or support the group with the most resources fighting for causes you believe in. Same as the liberals. Most are 2 lazy to loot and riot, so they donate money to bail out the 1's that do. I am not a nazi, and feel like that route is WRONG as the liberals route, but at the moment,do you see anyone else trying to protect our rights from a conservatives view point?
I think we should be the toughest of critics on anything our countries do. It's the people who make the nation any good, not the symbolism. If any critique is dismissed as disrespect for the symbolism, than the people are not developing their country. And lack of development is regression.
Get woke, go broke.
No protest needed.
If sports figures want to protest do it by not playing the "game" whatever it may be. Don't disrespect your country, your flag or the veterans who died protecting your freedoms to essentially whine about some trivial problem with a small minority of a minority race that has no respect for law and order.
How many blacks actually disrespect the law? Few,but those are the only 1's you hear about. law abiding blacks need to make themselves known by protesting the idolization of the thugs like floyd.
The veterans who died protecting our freedoms make it possible to disrespect the country and the flag but I doubt kneeling during the national anthem can be stretched into such disrespect.
You describe these protests as : People whine about some trivial problem with a small minority of a minority race that has no respect for law and order.
You are a racist.
If you had said, “People whine about some trivial problem and a portion of the people has no respect for the law.” Would have been acceptable even though these problems are not trivial. Your take is that this is done only by a minority like blacks. That makes you a racist.
